Why a bigger tank and more power

This model heats with 1500 W and delivers 22 g/min of steam. Together that means more steam in the same time. It also heats up fast, so you are not waiting long for it to be ready.

The water tank holds 220 ml. That is enough to freshen several garments without refilling along the way. The tank comes out, so you fill it at the basin rather than holding the appliance under running water.

The ceramic head glides over the fabric

The steam head is ceramic coated and smooth, so it runs over a shirt, a blouse or a curtain without catching. The appliance is 9 cm wide, so it sits in one hand and you can turn it into a collar or a sleeve seam, right where the crease is.

How it stands on the surface

The appliance is 26.5 cm tall and stands on its own base, so you can put it down between two garments without finding somewhere for it. This is not a shape designed for a suitcase: here the priorities were standing steadily and holding more water.

The steam button latches, so you are not holding it down through a whole rail of shirts. With the larger tank you can work along the wardrobe rail and only set the appliance down once the last garment is finished.

The steamer works vertically and horizontally. Whatever hangs on the rail, you steam where it hangs; whatever lies on the bed, you steam on the surface. You can use it on a wide range of fabrics, but check the care label before steaming and try a small, hidden area first. With a garment on a hanger that means you never take it down and never clear a space for it.

With home textiles the height matters: you steam the bottom third of a light curtain where it hangs, without carrying a board into the living room.

Steam lock, anti-drip, overheat protection

Anti-drip

The arrangement that stops water dripping from the steam plate onto the fabric while the appliance warms up or when it is held at an angle. It works with the steam lock, the latched steam button, and it stays drip-free as long as you let the appliance preheat properly.

The appliance is built with overheat protection. The plate and the steam are hot, so always hold the steamer by its grip only.

Cleaning and storage

• Unplug it after use and wait until it has cooled completely.
• Take the tank out, empty it and rinse it so no stale water is left inside.
• Wipe the casing and the steam head with a soft, damp cloth once cool.
• Do not use chemicals, scouring agents or abrasive pads on it.
• Coil the cable loosely and put the appliance away standing up.

Who is the larger steamer for?

Cable, supply, space

The cable is 1.9 metres and the supply is 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz. In the dressing area, measure the distance from the socket to the rail against that: this length decides whether you can work in front of the wardrobe or have to carry the garment elsewhere.

Grip and line

The shape is ergonomic and modern. The grip and the steam button sit in line, so your thumb stays where it started while you work. The base is that wide so the steamer stands on the worktop between two garments without tipping.
