Open with warmth, close with cool

Warm and cool belong to two different moments in a facial routine. Warmth suits the point where you apply a serum or a cream; cool suits the point where you want to close the round. This device does both and switches between them quickly.

Three modes, one strip of controls

It has three modes: warm (HOT), electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) and cool (COOL). The warm mode is for use while applying skincare products, EMS targets the contours of the face, and the cool mode is for closing the treatment.

Those three matter because otherwise you would keep three separate tools in a drawer. Here the same head and the same grip handle all of them, and you do not have to put the device down to switch.

Why the massage head is large

The head is oval and wide. The benefit is that one stroke covers more ground: the line of the cheekbone or the underside of the jaw takes two or three passes rather than ten small movements.

A large head covers the same area in less time, and you are less likely to miss a stretch.

EMS, and what to know about it

EMS (electrical muscle stimulation)
A mode in which the device delivers weak electrical impulses through the skin. It is meant for treating facial skin, with adjustable intensity so that use can be built up gradually to individual comfort.

EMS is the function worth approaching carefully. Build the intensity up gradually, adjusted to your own comfort, especially the first time. Read the conditions and restrictions of the EMS mode in the instructions before first use.

Six minutes, then it stops by itself

It has an automatic timer: after six minutes the device switches off. The timer keeps the session controlled, so a session does not drag on even if your mind wanders in front of the mirror.

Six minutes is ample for a face. Divided up, there is time for warmth while the cream goes on, for EMS along the contours, and still for a cool finish at the end.

Not waterproof, and that matters

The device is not waterproof and may only be used in a dry environment. That means it does not come into the shower with you, and it does not get left on the edge of the basin beside water.

Charged over Type-C, supplied with cable and bag

The device holds a lithium-polymer battery and charges through a Type-C connector. That is the most practical part: the same cable you charge your phone with, so there is no separate charger to pack.

The box holds a Type-C cable, a wiping cloth and a storage bag. The cloth is for wiping the head down, and the bag is so the device does not travel loose in a suitcase.

Dry hands, dry place

The housing gives a steady grip and the large massage head keeps even contact. In warm mode the surface of the massage head gives off moderate heat, in normal use as set out in the instructions.

Because of its built-in battery the device may not go into household waste at the end of its life: under the relevant EU rules it must be handed in at a designated electrical waste collection point.

An evening round, as the three modes divide it

After cleansing you start in warm mode: apply the serum and carry the head across your face, working outwards. Then EMS, on a low setting, along the jaw and the cheekbone.

At the end, cool mode, a few passes under the eye and across the cheekbone. After six minutes the device stops, you wipe the head with the cloth supplied and put it back in its bag.

Cleaning and storage

  • Switch the device off before cleaning it.
  • Wipe the massage head with the cloth supplied; it must not be submerged.
  • Store it in a dry, indoor place, in its storage bag.
  • Do not use a damaged charging cable, and do not take the device apart.
  • Charge it before putting it away for a longer period, and keep it out of children's reach.

Who is the warm and cool facial massager for?

Warm for applying, cool for finishing, EMS in between: three modes in one head, with a six-minute automatic timer. The intensity is worth building up gradually. Do not use it during pregnancy or menstruation, or with skin conditions, inflammation or an electronic medical device.
