A hearty soup or potatoes for dinner can have their own smaller pot. The 20 cm, 2.5 litre size fits easily into everyday cooking. Openings in the glass lid help when you drain cooking water, keeping the food in the pot as you pour.
The Fashion by Berlinger Haus pot is made from forged aluminium with a TitanPro non-stick coating. Its 10.4 cm sides leave room for soup and side dishes. It is suitable for induction hobs too. Hold the pot and lid together as directed when draining, then your cooked side is ready to serve.
Pasta is at its best when the water comes off it and it goes straight into the sauce. Usually that means finding the colander, clearing space in the sink, and letting the pasta soften while you do. The lid of this 20 centimetre casserole has strainer slots: hold the handles, turn the lid into place, and the water leaves through the spout. The pasta stays in the pot.

Two and a half litres. That is two or three servings of boiled potatoes, one large bowl of soup, or enough pasta for a dinner. This is not the pot you bring out for a celebration; it is the one standing on the hob on a Wednesday evening. It measures 20 centimetres across and 10.4 centimetres tall, so it stays slim enough to share a small hob with other pans.
A smaller pot means heating less water than a big one, and 2.5 litres is exactly what pasta for one or two needs. The forged aluminium body takes the heat off the hob quickly meanwhile.

The tempered glass lid sits on the rim through a soft-closing, heat-resistant silicone system. It does not rattle, it does not slide, and it does not lift while the pot boils. A steam hole lets the excess out.
And along its edge runs the row of strainer slots: the built-in strainer. Draining stops being a separate step: you finish it with the same movement that ends the cooking.

Fashion by Berlinger Haus builds on two things: a minimalist shape and a matt finish. The matt surface does not show every fingerprint, and the handles are a continuation of the line rather than an ornament bolted on.
The handles and the lid knob are stay-cool, ergonomic and soft-touch. That counts most on a pot you have to lift in order to drain it: the grip stays sure while hot water is leaving it.

The pot has a turbo induction base, so it is at home on every type of hob: induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen. The disc spreads the heat across the whole bottom, so the soup does not boil only in the middle.

The pot is easy to clean. After a thick stew that is no small thing: you wash the cooled pot out with lukewarm water and a soft sponge.

The body is forged aluminium, the lid tempered glass, the coating the brand's titanPro system.
Half past seven and nothing is on the hob yet. Water into the pot, lid on, and while it comes to the boil you get everything else ready. The pasta goes in while the sauce comes together in a frying pan. When it is ready you turn the lid into place, the water leaves, the pasta stays. One pot, one strainer, one movement.

The next day the same pot makes the soup for lunch. A smaller batch asks for more attention: through the glass lid you can see when to turn the heat down, and you never have to lift it to find out.

Who is this 20 cm casserole a good choice for?
A one or two person household, a rented flat or a hall of residence, and anyone boiling pasta, a side dish or a small batch of soup on weekdays. Two and a half litres covers four plates of a side. For large family soups a 24 or 28 centimetre pot serves better.
Yes. The lid has strainer slots and an integrated spout, which together make up the built-in strainer. Hold the lid in place, take both handles and tilt the pot: the water runs out through the spout and the pasta stays inside. There is no colander to fetch.
About four plates of a side dish or pasta, and two or three portions of soup. The pot is 20 cm across and 10.4 cm tall, so it stays slim on the hob and fits beside other pans on a tight cooktop. For big family soups, a larger pot is the better buy.
Yes. The base is built for turbo induction, and you can use it on every type of hob: induction, gas, electric, ceramic and halogen. The disc spreads the heat across the whole bottom, so the soup does not boil in the middle only.
It is the brand's own hard-wearing non-stick coating, working on the inside surface of the pot. In a pot it earns its place mainly against stuck rice and dried-on cream sauce.
Wash the lid separately with a soft sponge and washing-up liquid, then wipe the silicone rim dry before you put it back on the pot, so no water sits in the rim. Let the pot cool to lukewarm before washing, and keep metal scourers away from it.
Keep the lid in place and hold both handles, because the weight of 2.5 litres of hot water starts there. The handle and the lid knob are designed to stay cool, and the steam leaves through the vent in the lid. Pour slowly, tilting towards the spout.
