Your favourite drink can have its own mug on the journey and at your desk. Fill the 500 ml size with tea, coffee or a cold drink, and choose between the lid's two opening modes when taking a sip. A non-slip silicone base helps when you put it down between drinks.
The Fashion by Berlinger Haus travel mug has an 18/10 stainless steel interior, double walls and an intermediate copper layer. The manufacturer states up to 8 hours of warmth or 12 hours of cold retention; starting temperature and use affect the actual time.
You pour it at eight, then a call comes, then a review, then an email. By the time you get back to it, it is lukewarm. This mug is what prevents that: it keeps a hot drink at temperature for up to 8 hours and a cold one for up to 12.

The inner body is 18/10 stainless steel, and a copper layer runs between the two steel walls. The copper holds back the radiated heat, which is why your coffee is still hot when you get back to it hours later.
The everyday consequence is that the double wall keeps the outside cooler, and with a cold drink no condensation forms on it. Either way your hand stays dry and it leaves no ring on the papers.

One thing is worth adding: the real time depends on how hot the drink goes in and how often you open the lid on the way.
The mug comes with a spout lid and a straw lid, and it is those two you swap, not the mug. For hot coffee the spout lid is the logical one: flip it open, drink, close it. For an iced drink the straw lid, because you do not have to tilt the mug while you move.
The cap closes in both arrangements, so it travels safely in a bag. That is where a thermal mug is decided: not in how long it keeps the heat, but in whether it tips over next to the laptop.

The base is silicone and non-slip. In a car cup holder and on the edge of a desk, those few millimetres of silicone decide whether the mug stays where it was when you take a corner or push a folder aside. Set down it does not knock, and it does not start moving on a sloping desk.

The mug holds 0.5 litres, stands 19 cm tall and measures 8.5 cm across. Half a litre covers a longer journey or a morning, and this is the size that still fits most cup holders.
A detachable carrying strap comes with it, so it does not have to be in your hand: hook it on a finger or clip it to a bag. The outer paint is resistant and the surface smooth, so at the end of the day a wipe is enough.

Tea in the kitchen in the morning, lid in place, then the side pocket of a bag. At ten the desk, where the non-slip base keeps it where you put it. After lunch a rinse, iced water, the straw lid, and the same mug carries the afternoon.
That switch is why it holds half a litre and not less. For one coffee it would be generous. Half a litre is there so you need not refill halfway, and the two lids are there so you can change register on the way.
One habit is worth picking up: with a hot drink, fit the lid before you set off. In practice that is what separates a mug you can carry from one that only stands on a desk.

Who is the 500 ml double-walled travel mug for?
Someone who takes the morning coffee or tea with them, and someone who keeps a cold drink on the desk in summer. Half a litre covers a morning, the two lids handle hot and iced drinks alike, and the non-slip base holds it in a car cup holder. If you want a small espresso from it, the size is generous.

The mug carries a resistant outer paint and arrives in a colour gift box, so it needs no rewrapping as a present. The surface is smooth and the proportions are tall: a half-litre steel body closed off by the line of the lid.
0.5 litres, which is two large mugs of coffee or a morning's worth of tea. The mug is 19 cm tall and 8.5 cm across, so it fits most car cup holders and the side pocket of a backpack. If you only ever drink espresso, this size is generous.
Up to 8 hours for a hot drink and up to 12 for a cold one. The real time also depends on how hot the drink was when you poured it and how often you open the lid on the way. Fill it in the morning and the coffee is still warm in the afternoon.
Two lids come with it and you pick the one that suits the moment. The spout lid is for hot coffee and tea: flip it up, drink, click it shut. The straw lid is for iced drinks, because you never have to tilt the mug. You swap the lid, not the mug.
The inner body is 18/10 stainless steel and the lid is plastic. A copper layer runs between the two steel walls and helps hold the temperature. Steel does not take on the taste of your drink, and the double wall keeps the outside cooler and free of condensation with cold drinks.
No: the base is silicone and non-slip. Those few millimetres of silicone are what keep the mug in place in a car cup holder through a bend and on the edge of a desk. It goes down quietly and it will not wander off on its own on a sloping table.
Rinse it after use and wash the lid separately, because residue collects under the seal more than anywhere else. The smooth steel inside takes a soft brush or a sponge. Let it dry before you close it so no moisture is shut inside.
