Your first cookware set, chosen for real meals

Look at three favourite dinners and choose the pans they need. What you will cook matters more than the number printed on the box.

Black frying pans and a lidded saucepan on an induction hob, with vegetables and a wooden spoon.

All 3 pieces together are €105.36. You can also add the pieces one by one.

Which cookware set should you start with?

Write down the three meals you cook most often. Pasta needs a pot, fried eggs need a frying pan and a saucy one-pot dinner benefits from a deeper shape. Match their sizes to your portions. Start with a set that covers those jobs and fits your cupboard. Count lids separately, because they do not replace another cooking vessel.

Build a starter set around your kitchen

  1. Start with your usual portions. Check your current pan: does it regularly overflow or stay half empty? That tells you more than the size of a set’s box.
  2. Choose a frying pan for browning and a pot for boiling. Add a deep pan if sauced pasta or vegetable one-pot meals are regular favourites.
  3. Check compatibility with your hob. For induction, compare the stated suitability and base size with your cooking zone.
  4. Check which lid belongs to each pan, then measure storage space including handles. Keep everyday pieces on an easy-to-reach shelf.

Fashion by Berlinger Haus sets have different combinations of cookware. Read the actual contents on the product page: a size you use often earns its place in your kitchen more readily than another piece without a job.

Should I replace everything at once?

Keep cookware that still works well for you. Fill the size or shape you regularly miss while cooking first.

When does a set make more sense than individual pieces?

When you need the included sizes and want a coordinated finish. Choose one specific pan when you only have one missing task to cover.
