Statutory rights cover goods that do not meet the contract, while a guarantee can provide additional cover for a particular product. You do not need to choose a legal category before reporting the fault: describe the problem and we will help with the process. Product documents and consumer information explain the applicable terms.
Before reporting a fault
- Find the order number or proof of purchase. Keep any electronic guarantee document at hand too.
- Describe when the fault appeared and how it affects use. You can include a photo of visible damage.
- After the report, we explain the next step. If we ask you to send the product in, pack it according to the instructions provided.
Must I keep the original box?
The original box is not a condition for reporting a statutory claim. Suitable protective packaging is still needed if the product has to travel.
Can I report faults only on electrical products?
No. Statutory rights concerning faulty goods can apply to other products too. We assess the case using the product and purchase details.
